Why are subs so inept? Yesterday I had a sub who I told to use a video from the box labled "Emergency Sub Plans". For thoes who have never seen my room, this is a rather large box with BIG RED LETTERS proclaiming that it is the "Emergency Sub Plan" box. It's hard to miss. So what does my sub do? She chooses a video from my office to show to the kids (I really should remove that muppet show video with Alice Cooper). Here's the best part: She couldn't show the classes the same video in a row becuase the VCR has no rewind button on it. Um, hello, there is a large remote control right on the video cart with the letters VCR on it that she could have used. See kids, this is why I hate taking a sick day.

I mean, what else could "Emergency Sub Plans" have meant? "Quick! It's an emergency! Build a submarine so we can sail away!" Or maybe, "Quick! It's an emergency! I need a 6-inch Subway Club on honey oat with jalapenos, stat!"
